So, if you’re looking for a quick and easy guide describing how to configure Democracy to automatically download your favourite TV shows, for free, then look no further than Jesse Newland’s Soylentfoo blog article. Recent releases of Democracy have made the Feedburner.com’s tool redundant, Democracy can now automatically download RSS content by simply pasting the tvrss.net URL when adding a new channel in Democracy. To quote Jesse “The Democracy Player will make you wonder why you’re still paying your cable bill.”… Right on!

Sling Media Announce the Slingcatcher

Engadget.com: “SlingCatcher. This is another device designed to bring more media to your TV; not only will it allow you to view content from your Slingbox like you can with your PC, but it also will allow you to view whatever is on your PCs screen, on your boob tube.”… Wait, you need another Slingbox to capture the content then this plays it back into your TV? The price of the Slingbox has been rapidly falling, this sounds like an attempt to attract existing users into a secondary purchase. Not me.
